Steep Drop in Colorado Foreclosures

This is great news on Colorado Foreclosures from the Denver Business Journal:

There’s good news on the foreclosure front for Colorado’s cities: Both foreclosure filings and sales were down sharply in February.

The latest monthly report from the state Division of Housing, released Wednesday, covers Colorado’s 12 largest counties.

It says that new foreclosure filings last month were down 34.7 percent from the same month of 2010, reaching a 30-month low, and were down 26.4 percent from January 2011.

While some of this may be due to banks changing the way they are processing foreclosures, this is still fantastic news and more proof that the Colorado housing market is continuing to improve.
