Showings Resume April 27th – What It Means For Buyers, Sellers And Rent To Own

Yesterday, Governor Polis announced guidelines for businesses transitioning from the “Stay At Home” order to the “Safer At Home” order on April 27th. With the constant changes we’ve experienced over the past few weeks with regards to real estate showings, closings, and pictures, it seems like we finally have a clear plan going forward.

While we are excited to begin showing and marketing homes again, we will be taking every precaution to keep our clients and agents safe.

Here’s what it means for you and how you can prepare now:

Buyers:

While open houses are still not allowed, we will now be able to personally show you homes again.

We expect a large influx of both buyers and seller to come into the market the week of April 27th. We recommend that you spend this coming week to make sure you have a preapproval letter from your lender and check in with them to make sure that nothing has changed with the loan program you will be using.

In addition, make sure that we have you set up on a daily alert(s) for the areas you are interested in. Many sellers took their homes off the market this past week, and we want to make sure that you are alerted as soon as homes begin hitting the market again.

Sellers:

The temporary housing “pause” has caused a pent up demand of buyers ready to enter the market. If you have been considering listing your home, this may be the best time in decades to do it. That’s not something I say lightly and is not an exaggeration. Here’s what we are suggesting:

Give us a call and let us know your plans. We can get your home ready to show on April 27th and begin marketing it to the public the weekend of April 25th and 26th. We want to do as much marketing of our client’s homes prior to the 27th as possible to make sure that buyers know all they can about your home before showings begin.

Rent To Own Clients:
